One crash begat another during the noon hour Friday on Keller Drive in Effingham.

Effingham city police report a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Kennedy Brummerstedt of Effingham struck a vehicle driven by 64-year-old Timothy Cyr of Neoga at Ford Avenue at 12:31pm.

While the crash was being sorted out, a vehicle driven by 61-year-old Bruce Miller of Beecher City rear-ended a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Travis Lidy of Teutopolis, pushing Lidy's vehicle into the Brummerstedt vehicle from the earlier crash.

No one was injured in either crash. Miller was cited in the second crash for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash, while Brummerstedt was cited from the earlier crash for driving while his license is suspended, driving too fast for conditions and improper lane usage.
