(THE RIBBON-CUTTING CEREMONY FOR THE NEW HOME OF SILK PURSE THRIFT STORE)

Silk Purse Thrift Store is now "officially" open in its new location, and business has been brisk.

The store is operated by the Family Life Center with proceeds used to help cover the Center's operating costs.

Family Life Center Director Tami Shull said the Friday ribbon-cutting marked one year to the day of a meeting held to consider how to obtain a new home for Silk Purse. Negotiations led to the purchase of the Samuel Music Company building on West Fayette. Shull remarked that the building is much larger than what was even hoped, and said she's excited to see what else God has in store.
