Ed Wolfe Construction of Effingham recently hosted a Traveling Food Drive to benefit Blessings in a Backpack.

Wolfe Construction set boxes at 10 businesses in Effingham, the businesses collected items for a week, and then the Wolfe Construction staff picked up the collected items.

In seven days, over 230 boxes of macaroni and cheese, over 350 canned items, 200 packets of hot chocolate along with many other various items were collected for Blessings in a Backpack.

Blessings in a Backpack sends sacks of food home each Friday with 400 kids in Effingham. Wolfe Construction plans to host another food drive in July to help with the start of the school year.
