A 16-year-old Effingham girl was injured in a weekend crash.

Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports Megan E. Koester was traveling through a curve and ran off the roadway, striking a culvert. The vehicle overturned.

Koester refused treatment. She was cited for improper lane usage and driving too fast for conditions.

The crash happened at 9:39pm Sunday at the intersection of Southern Row and Pearl Street on the south edge of Teutopolis.
