The drivers were injured in a two-vehicle collision on US Route 40 in Summit Township Saturday afternoon.

The crash happened at 4:43pm at 900th Street. Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports a car driven by 19-year-old Cody Welch of Teutopolis pulled in front of a van driven by 32-year-old Ray Evans III of St. Elmo and the units collided.

Welch and Evans were injured, but both refused treatment. Welch was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia and disobeying a traffic control device.
