"Holiday Lights and Festive Sights" Winners Announced

The City of Effingham and the Effingham Convention and Visitors Bureau have announced the winners of the 2nd Annual Holiday Lights and Festive Sights competition. Organizers say they are thrilled that over 850 votes were received in this year's competition.

This year's winners are:

Classic Christmas--Greg and Jamie Sparks at 201 Santa Monica Avenue

Clark Griswold--Darlene and Larry Logue at 805 East Jefferson Avenue

Reason for the Season--Steve and Marlene Pickett at 703 North Cardinal Street.

The business winner was Taylor Law Office at 3rd and Washington in downtown Effingham. Their charity of choice is Blessings in a Backpack.

Each winner will receive $250 and a sign to be displayed in their yard through January 4, 2016 designating them as a winner of the competition.

The City and the CVB encourage you to visit the homes of the winners and all of the finalists' homes. A reminder that they will be drawing the two winners of $100 gift cards today. They will be contacted and announced on the Facebook page, Visit Effingham.
