Investigation Continues Into Lakewood Deaths

The investigation continues into the deaths of two Lakewood residents.

The bodies of 55-year-old Mark D. Nohren and 53-year-old Esther M. Nohren were found in a home in Lakewood on Thanksgiving Eve. Police say the deaths were due to shots from a small caliber handgun. Police originally indicated the deaths were a double suicide, but Shelby County Coroner Brian Green Tuesday said that information was not correct. Green said it will be up to 30 days before final autopsy results and toxicology test results will be available. Until then, Green said he'll make no determination as to the cause or manner of death.

Mark and Esther Nohren were married in 1980. Visitation for the two will be tonight with memorial services to be held at a later date.
