State Crop Report for Week Ending November 22

Illinois received widespread precipitation last week, averaging 2.91 inches statewide, 2.26 inches above normal.

The average temperature was 42.6 degrees, 1.3 degrees above normal. 

There were 2.9 days suitable for fieldwork for the week ending November 22.

Topsoil moisture supply was rated at 3% very short, 14% short, 75% adequate, and 8% surplus. Subsoil moisture supply was rated at 3% very short, 23% short, 68% adequate, and 6% surplus.

Winter wheat emerged reached 95%, 21% points ahead of last year at this time. Winter wheat condition was rated 1% very poor, 5% poor, 30% fair, 55% good, and 9% excellent.

Pasture and range condition was rated 5% very poor, 14% poor, 36% fair, 41% good, and 4% excellent.
