Incumbent Files for New Term on County Board

Another member of the Effingham County Board has filed for re-election in 2016.

Rob Arnold, a Republican, has filed for another term as Board member from District H.

Also, a correction from an earlier report. Joe Thoele has filed for another term on the County Board from District I. Thoele is a Republican.

Others who have filed for County Board include incumbent Republicans Lloyd Foster in District A and Jeff Simpson in District F and Republican challenger John Perry in District E.

Also in the running so far are Republican incumbent Duane Guffey for another term as County Coroner and Democrat challenger Lupita Thompson for State's Attorney.

The filing period will continue through Monday, November 30 at 5pm.
