Six people face drug charges after they were arrested separately over the weekend, stemming from an October 2 methamphetamine bust in Wheeler.

Arrested over the weekend were 31-year old Kelly Baker, 33-year old Leda Baker, 41-year old John Baker, 27-year old David Bergbower, 25-year old Kurtis Boruff and 47-year old Teina Piercefield, all of Jasper County. All were charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine Precursor, a Class 2 Felony.

Kelly Baker, Leda Baker, Teina Piercefield and Kurtis Boruff are all being held on $20,000 bond. Bergbower's bond was set at $50,000 and John Baker's at $100,000.

Police say that at separate times, all six supplied pseudophedrine to a home along Route 33 in Wheeler, the same home that authorities raided on October 2. Six people were arrested in connection with a meth lab operating in the home, with charges in that bust elevated because a minor lived in the home.

In a release Monday morning, Jasper County State's Attorney Chad Miller praised the efforts of law enforcement saying, "we will continue to tirelessly pursue drug offenders in Jasper County and fight to keep methamphetamine and other illicit drugs off our streets."
