Authorities are investigating the death of a local girl, but no foul play is suspected.

911 was called to 212 Lakewood Manor on Friday morning regarding an unresponsive female. She was identified as 20-year-old Aundrea Linton of Effingham.

Effingham City-County Ambulance Service was called to the scene along with Effingham City Police. Effingham County Coroner Duane Guffey was notified and responded to the scene. He pronounced Linton dead at 9:35am.

An autopsy was conducted on Saturday afternoon. Final results are pending toxicology reports and should be available within six to eight weeks. Linton had battled diabetes for many years.

Illinois State Police Crime Scene Services assisted Effingham City Police Investigations and Guffey's office.
