We've mentioned Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner's appearance at Effingham County Manufacturing Day today.

The stop is part of a busy day the governor has planned downstate.

Ahead of the visit to Manufacturing Day at the Effingham Knights of Columbus Building, the governor will be visiting Stevens Industries in Teutopolis at 10:30am.

Once finished with duties in Effingham County, the governor is headed to Mattoon at 1:15pm for a visit to Mattoon Precision Manufacturing. He will then close the day at 3:30pm with the dedication of the Chez Family Foundation Center for Wounded Veterans on the University of Illinois campus. The Chez Center is designed to make wounded and disabled veterans better able to attend college.
