Chicago Man Injured in Crash at Keller Drive and Avenue of Mid America

A Chicago man was injured in a crash in Effingham on Monday morning.

The crash happened just after 5:30am at the intersection of Keller Drive and Avenue of Mid-America. City police report a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Jackson Stombaugh of Effingham pulled into the path of, and was struck by, a vehicle driven by 64-year-old Charles Newson of Chicago.

Newson was injured and was taken by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. Stombaugh was cited for disobeying a traffic control device.
