Pedestrian Struck by Vehicle in Effingham

An Olney man was injured when struck by a vehicle in Effingham over the weekend.
City police say the incident occurred at 7:48pm Friday when a pedestrian, 48-year-old Ronald Lowe of Olney, walked into the roadway and was struck by a vehicle driven by 19-year-old Bailey Price of Shumway.
Lowe was injured and was taken by ambulance to St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.
The incident occurred on Illinois 32/33 at Marguerite Avenue. No citations were issued.
