An Oklahoma trucker was killed in a crash at Vandalia Thursday.

State police say 66-year-old Stanley Hamilton of Antlers, Oklahoma was exiting I-70 eastbound at the US 51 interchange at Vandalia about 9am. Hamilton's rig crossed the yellow fog line and entered the left ditch. The vehicle load jack-knifed and broke loose from the cab. The cab continued skidding out of control and overturned.

Fayette County Coroner Bruce Bowen pronounced Hamilton dead at the scene of the crash.

An autopsy will be conducted today in Effingham to help determine the cause of death.
