Bundle of Personnel Moves at South Central Board Meeting

The South Central Board of Education took action on many personnel items at this week's meeting.

The Board approved a FMLA leave of absence for Don Webb, approved a leave for Wayne Hoard, and recalled these aides for the new school year: Connie Githinji, Twyla Hassebrock, Lucretia Schroeder, Amanda Robb and Jordan Gelsinger.

The Board accepted a letter of intent to retire from Margaret Turner as of September 2016, accepted a letter of resignation from Misty McCarty as co-head cheerleading coach, accepted a letter of resignation from Kim Major as National Honor Society sponsor, and accepted a letter of resignation from Michelle Hawkins as yearbook sponsor. 

The Board hired Lynn Smith as yearbook sponsor, appointed Brittany Garrett as Web Tech Coordinator for the middle school, appointed Theresa Linder as Beta Club sponsor at the high school, appointed Michelle Hawkins as National Honor Society sponsor, appointed Stephanie Jones as junior class co-sponsor, hired Angie Rinkel as a certified staff member at the middle school, hired Alan Monical as interim transportation director and mechanic, and appointed Wendy Reid as volunteer assistant volleyball coach at the high school and approved Reid as freshman class sponsor at the high school.

The South Central board also approved the tentative budget for the new fiscal year, and renewed district insurance coverage.
