Teutopolis schools received a significant boost from the Siemer Milling Company through a $7,500 donation to the Teutopolis Technology Fund. This fund seeks to provide Teutopolis Unit #50 students with the necessary technology and skills that will prepare them for success in the 21st century.

The fund’s initiative, coined Techtopolis by Teutopolis students and staff, strives to place a Chromebook in every student’s hands by the 2016-2017 school year. The fund will also provide technology support and professional development for teachers and staff.

Siemer Milling Company’s president, Rick Siemer, is pictured with his family which include wife Diane Siemer, son Henry Siemer, daughter and son-in-law Martha and Kenny Stice, and grandchildren Jackson, Johanna, Eli, and Caroline Stice. Also pictured are Angie Hartke, Bill Fritcher, and Jerry Runde from the Techtopolis committee.
