Tourism is generating significant visits to Effingham County, as well as sizable amounts of revenue.

City Tourism Director Jodi Thoele shared the information with the Effingham Noon Rotary Club at their meeting Wednesday. Thoele said events such as the Corvette and Volkswagen Funfests are major draws, but the Effingham Artisan Fair, the EffingHam Jam, Firefly Grill and the Cross at the Crossroads are also attractions bringing visitors to the area.

Noon Rotarian Rich Jorn served as weekly program chairman.
