Two Hurt in Crash at Keller and Mid-America

Two people were injured in a crash in Effingham Saturday night.

Effingham city police report a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Nathan Micklautz of Louisville rear-ended a vehicle driven by 20-year-old Micah Bell of Altamont. The crash happened south of the intersection of Keller Drive and Avenue of Mid-America about 10pm.

Bell and his passenger, 20-year-old Emily Hammer of Altamont, were injured and were taken by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.

Police cited Micklautz for failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
