The Teutopolis Village Board Wednesday decided to spend up to $15,700 on infrastructure costs for a project in the new business park on the village's west side.

The money, taken from the village's revolving loan fund, will go for excavation of a retention pond, storm sewer pipe, boring for a sewer line, and concrete for sidewalks at McMahon Meats.

Board members also signed on a final pay estimate to the excavating company that worked on the Commercial Drive water and sewer extension, approved a $1,200 change order on the Commercial Drive street project, and authorized Village President Greg Hess to sign the certificate of substantial completion on the Commercial Drive water and sewer extension.

The Board also authorized Hess to sign a professional services agreement for an overlay project on Elm Street. The project will provide a new street surface on Elm from Pearl Street to Smith Street.

The Board met in closed session to discuss wholesale water rates, but there was no open session action on the matter.
