Altamont Board Adds Grade School Section

The Altamont Board of Education decided Friday to add a class section at Altamont Grade School during the coming year.

The Board's motion was to hire an additional grade school teacher for the 2015-16 school year. A determination about which class the teacher will teach will come after checking with current staff members. Board members then hired Megan Cole as an elementary teacher.

The Altamont board also accepted resignations from Molly Hartke and Justin Harrison, and employed Alan Whitt as high school head baseball coach. The Board also hired Sara Province as a junior high English/Language Arts teacher and Case Bowman as a fifth grade teacher.
