Two Injured in Crash Near Neoga

Two people were injured in a crash near Neoga Friday night.

The crash happened at 8:24pm on I-57, one mile north of Neoga. Illinois State Police report a car driven by 19-year-old Angel Fermainitt of Chicago was traveling in an erratic manner when it ran off the road. The vehicle skidded into the median, ejecting Fermainitt.

Fermaintt was first taken to Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Coles County, and then was transferred to Carle Hospital in Urbana. A passenger in the car, 48-year-old Charles Garrett of Bourbonnais, was injured and was taken to Sarah Bush for treatment.

State police say arrest information is pending.
