Seeking Nominations for Richard C. Siemer Outstanding Philanthropist Award

Each year, Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation recognizes outstanding philanthropic achievements by individuals, families and organizations in southeastern Illinois. Nominations for the Richard C. Siemer Outstanding Philanthropist Award are being accepted from now through August 30.

"We hope individuals will take a moment to nominate those people that demonstrate their passion and commitment for giving back to their community," said Joedy Hightower, President/CEO of the Community Foundation. Nominations for the Outstanding Philanthropist Award are open to any individual, family or organization in southeastern Illinois with a proven record of exceptional generosity who demonstrate outstanding civic and charitable responsibility.

Nominations must be received by midnight on Sunday, August 30. The 2015 Outstanding Philanthropist will be announced at the Southeastern Illinois Community Foundation benefit on Friday, October 2 at the Keller Convention Center in Effingham.

Past recipients of the award include Richard Siemer in 2011, Tom Wright in 2012, Dr. Richard and Angie Workman in 2013, and The Lumpkin Family Foundation in 2014.
