Parking Guidelines for Downtown During BBQ Celebration

Here are guidelines for what streets and parking lots will be closed downtown during the Effingham Jam today and Saturday.

These streets will be closed during these times:

--Washington Avenue from 3rd Street to 4th Street--Noon Friday to 6pm Saturday

--Washington Avenue from 4th Street to Banker Street--3pm Friday to 6pm Saturday

--4th Street from Washington Avenue to Jefferson Avenue--3pm Friday to 7pm Saturday

--North lane of Jefferson Avenue from 3rd Street to 4th Street--3pm Friday to 7pm Saturday

--South lane of Jefferson Avenue from 3rd Street to 4th Street--Noon to 2pm Saturday (during KCBS Barbecue Judging)

--4th Street from Jefferson Avenue, south to the alley by La Petite Boutique

City parking lot closures planned:

--east half of City Hall parking lot--3pm Friday to 7pm Saturday

--City parking lot on southwest corner of Jefferson and 4th--8am to 7pm Saturday

--City parking lot on southeast corner of 5th Street and Washington Avenue--Noon Friday to 7pm Saturday
