Effingham Man Injured in Motorcycle Crash

The person injured in a motorcycle crash Monday afternoon is an Effingham man.

Details on the crash are still being gathered, but Effingham Police Chief Mike Schutzbach Wednesday said the motorcycle rider was 43-year-old David E. Martin of Effingham. Martin was riding a cycle at Brentwood and Rosewood in Homewood Subdivision. The crash occurred at 5:05pm Monday. 

Martin was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, although it is believed he was transferred for additional treatment. The hospital declines to give such information.

Schutzbach said arrest information in the crash is pending.
