Webb Death Due to Natural Causes

No foul play is suspected in the death of a rural Shumway woman.

911 dispatch received a call at 4:50pm Monday in regards to an unresponsive female in rural Shumway. Effingham County sheriff's deputies responded. The Effingham County Coroner's Office was summoned at 5:06pm. Chief Deputy Coroner Linda Mette responded and pronounced 75-year-old Norma J. Webb dead at 5:40pm. An autopsy will not be conducted.

Assisting on scene were Effingham County Sheriff's Department, Shumway Fire Protection District, Effingham City-County Ambulance Service, and Effingham County Coroner's Office.
