City Police Investigating Criminal Damage Incidents

Effingham city police are investigating incidents of criminal damage to property.

Damage was done to an exterior glass door at the Lincolnland Building at 1901 South 4th Street. The damage was done sometime between midnight and 8:52am Saturday. Damage is estimated at $200.

Criminal damage occurred at 1910 South Banker, the Village Square Mall parking lot, on Saturday between 6pm and 10pm. 18 fire extinguishers were taken from several boats and were discharged. The total loss is estimated at $360. No boats were damaged during the incident.

Vandalism was done either Wednesday night or early Thursday morning at Hendelmeyer Park on South 4th Street. Someone smashed lights out in one of the pavilions.
