An Indiana trucker was killed and I-70 near Greenup was closed for several hours as the result of a crash involving three trucks Tuesday afternoon in Cumberland County.

State police say semis driven by men from Chatham, Ontario, Canada and Taylorsville, Utah slowed in the one-lane construction zone four miles west of Greenup. However, 51-year-old Robert Hubbard of Mooresville, Indiana did not slow the straight truck he was driving in time and the truck rear-ended the Utah driver's semi, which then rear-ended the semi driven by the Ontario man.

Hubbard was killed in the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, a 35-year-old Martinsville, Indiana man, was injured and was taken to Carle Hospital in Urbana, as was the Ontario man.

Both the eastbound and westbound lanes of I-70 at the scene of the crash were closed for several hours. The eastbound lane was finally open shortly after 9pm. The crash happened at 4:14pm.
