Dieterich Village Board Discusses 4th of July Festivities

The Dieterich Village Board Monday approved plans for this year's 4th of July celebration.

The celebration will take place the evening of Friday, July 3 and all day on Saturday, July 4. It was agreed to seek State permission to close a portion of Main Street for the parade, which will step off on Saturday, the 4th, at 11am. Saturday activities will begin at 7:30am with a 5K run/walk. More information in the weeks to come.

The Dieterich board heard from a property owner who asked that the roadway by his property be spruced up, approved a building permit for an accessory building at 204 Niebrugge Avenue in North Pointe Estates, accepted an estimate from Effingham Asphalt for rolled asphalt on Pine Street, and okayed a quote for exterior paint work on the Village Hall to make the exterior match that of neighboring buildings.
