Fifth Third Bank has announced the distribution of income for the Koboldt Charitable Trust for this year.

Virginia Koboldt set aside trust funds to help "alleviate human suffering." Virginia and her husband, Paul were lifelong residents of Effingham. Paul Koboldt held many positions, lastly being President of The First National Bank of Effingham, now Fifth Third Bank. Mrs. Koboldt's intention was to "give back" to the people of Effingham for all the kindnesses shown to her and her family.

The Koboldt Trust has distributed more than $1,000,000 since 1997. There is no formal application. However, the Trust Committee would like a copy of the organization's financial report, a list and brief synopsis of the programs offered by the organization and the intended use of the funds being requested.

The deadline for receiving applications is June 15, 2015. The distribution ceremony will be held on July 17th, 2015 in the Council Room at City Hall at 10:00am.

Questions about applying for Koboldt Trust funds can be directed to Grant Bushue or Carol Rohr at Fifth Third Bank by calling 217-342-5736.
