Thanks to those of you who helped Central Grade School student Corey Hakman meet and exceed his collection of canned pasta to benefit other kids through Blessings in a Backpack.

Corey had a great year, receiving a can of pasta for each goal he met throughout the year. Instead of something for himself, Corey asked for a can of pasta that he could donate to the Blessings in a Backpack effort that is receiving goods to help kids have something to eat this summer.

Those of you who donated helped Corey exceed his goal and helped lots of kids have something to eat. Thanks for utilizing the tote in front of our studios from Monday through Wednesday of this week.

Here's a photo of Corey and his mom, Dana, during the packing effort that took place Wednesday night....

Lots of canned goods were collected at various locations for Blessings in a Backpack, not just canned pasta for Corey's effort...

As usual, our listeners helped in a big way. Thanks to all of those who helped others have something to eat this summer!
