June 1 Trial Date Still Set for Mickey Johnson

The trial of Mickey Johnson on a charge of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child is still scheduled to begin on June 1.

The 32-year-old Johnson was indicted in February by an Effingham County Grand Jury for an alleged sex act involving a girl under age 13 in September 2011. The charge is a Class X felony, punishable by from six to 30 years in prison if found guilty.

Judge Kimberly Koester Tuesday set a final pre-trial hearing for May 29.
