Action is expected at Thursday's meeting of the Stewardson-Strasburg school board on a new principal.

The Board Monday night interviewed candidates for the post. Superintendent Michelle Lindenmeyer said a decision on who will succeed Mark Giertz should come at the Thursday meeting, which is the regular monthly meeting of the Board.

Giertz is leaving the district to take a principal's post in northern Illinois.

The Stew-Stras job is a Grades K-12 principal's position.
