The Effingham Water Authority has voted to notify the owners of lots in Twin Oaks Subdivision who are in violation of their leases to clean up their acts.

The lot owners will have 30 days to remove lumber, steel, stones, burnt trash, piles of construction waste and construction equipment from the property. If they don't comply within 30 days, the Water Authority will proceed with the cleanup and removal and file a lien against the property.

Any future construction on the lots will require a new building permit, as the current building permits have expired.

The Board also inspected Court One in Schoenhoff Subdivision. The portion maintained by the Water Authority will be included in road maintenance for oil and chat this year.
