City Police Investigating Residential Burglary, Break-ins to Vehicles

Effingham city police are investigating a residential burglary that occurred in the 1100 block of Edgar Avenue between 9am and 5:15pm Saturday.

Police say two Tablets were stolen, along with a wedding ring, engagement ring, class ring, several necklaces, a PS3 and seven games.

The value of the items stolen is estimated at $1,350.

City police are also looking into three burglaries from motor vehicles.

One incident involved a vehicle parked in a garage in the 2900 block of Veterans Drive sometime between 7pm Friday and 8am Saturday, another occurred from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of West Crawford between 12:30 and 1am Saturday, and the third occurred from a vehicle parked in a driveway in the 2900 block of South Park at about 5am Saturday.

All three incidents involved the theft of credit or debit cards as well as undetermined amounts of cash.
