Tonight's Arts and Hearts event to kick off the 2015 Artisan Fair in downtown Effingham is undergoing some modifications due to the rainy weather.

A performance by Jansen's Dance Center has been canceled.

The ARC Art Auction will still take place at 6:30pm, but has been moved to the American Legion Building, upstairs in the auditorium. A reminder that there is an accessible entrance on the north side of the building, which is just a short distance west along Washington Avenue from the site of the Artisan Fair.

At 5pm, a decision was made to cancel the TREC Big Wheel races. The entry fee can be refunded, or it can be left in place to be used next year.

The Effingham Noon Rotary Club will sell tickets for their fundraiser at the Arts and Hearts event, but the drawing for the winner has been delayed until the next regular meeting of Noon Rotary on Wednesday.

Other events at this moment are still a go. Arts and Hearts is slated from 5-8pm on the lawn of the Old Courthouse in downtown Effingham.

The 2015 Artisan Fair will be held from 10am to 4pm Saturday with almost 40 artisans expected to be on hand.

Plenty of food, music, kids crafts and works of art will be part of both tonight and Saturday's events.
