A Herrick man has been sentenced to prison time for an offense in Fayette County.

40-year-old Brian Mey pled guilty to a Class X count of unlawful methamphetamine conspiracy. Judge Marc Kelly sentenced Mey to eight years in prison. He could have received from six to 30 years in prison.

The eight-year sentence, however, will be served consecutive to a nine-year term received in Clay County for participation in methamphetamine manufacturing.
