Two Weekend Crashes w/Injuries in Effingham Over Weekend

Two crashes resulting in injuries occurred in Effingham over the weekend.

One crash happened at 9:29am Friday at Fayette and Cherry. City police report a vehicle driven by 62-year-old Susan Niebrugge of Effingham turned in front of, and was struck by, a vehicle driven by 35-year-old Bridget Waldhoff of Dieterich.

Niebrugge was injured and was taken by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. Niebrugge was cited for failure to yield.

The other injury crash occurred at 3:39pm south of the intersection of Raney and Fayette. Police say a vehicle driven by 68-year-old Charles C. Davis of Effingham turned in front of, and was struck by, a vehicle driven by 71-year-old Harold Ruholl of Effingham.

A passenger in Davis' vehicle, 66-year-old Sherry J. Davis of Effingham, was injured and was taken by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham. 

Charles Davis was cited for failure to yield.
