Blair Wins Sheriff's Scholarship

Alexandra Blair, daughter of Travis and Gena Blair of Altamont, is the 2015 Illinois Sheriffs’ Association scholarship winner from Effingham County.

Alexandra will graduate this year from Beecher City High School and plans to further her education at Lake Land College, Mattoon, where she will major in Desktop Publishing/Graphic Design. The $500.00 scholarship will help defray costs of tuition, books and fees.

Sean French, son of Mike French and Laurel Durham of Effingham, was selected as first alternate in the scholarship competition.
