Mason Resident Injured in Crash Thursday Afternoon

A Mason resident was injured in a crash Thursday afternoon.

The Effingham County Sheriff's Department reported that a vehicle driven by 41-year-old Tonya Hodgkin was southbound on Old Watson Road, a quarter-mile north of Dutch Lane when the vehicle ran off the roadway to the right into a dithc. The vehicle traveled in the ditch, overturned and came to rest on its roof.

Hodgkin was injured and was taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.

No tickets were issued in the crash, which occurred at 1:43pm.
