The Dieterich school board Monday finalized fees and costs for the next school year.

The Board agreed to add a Construction Trades fee of $15 per year. Also approved was a 10-cent increase in lunch prices to adhere to Federal guidelines and a five-cent increase in seconds and sides.

The Board approved technology upgrades, including two mobile Chromebook labs, a new server, upgrades in the internet infrastructure and memory upgrades for existing equipment. Members were also updated by building principals Kevin Haarman and Kathy Pattenaude on a recent School Improvement Day during which teachers worked on student assessments that will be used to determine student growth.

The Board accepted a letter of retirement from bus driver Bob Gunn, accepted a resignation letter from Family and Consumer Sciences teacher Sierra Ellison, and hired Julie Ziegler as school nurse. The May meeting date was moved up to the 7th to get election results approved and newly-elected members seated within 30 days of the election. Also, two student workers...Troy Niemerg and Ashley Foreman...were hired as summer employees.
