Incumbent Ron Mietzner was elected to a second six-year term on the Effingham Park Board Tuesday.

Mietzner received 1,065 votes to 905 votes for challenger Carla Utz. Mietzner's seat was the only one on the Effingham board up for grabs in this year's election.

Larry Winterrowd was unopposed for a term on the Dieterich Park Board, receiving 111 votes.

John Gillmore, Jr. and Bette Gillmore were the two candidates for two seats on the Mason Township Park Board, receiving 75 votes and 66 votes, respectively.

Michael Horn and Karen Roley were the two candidates for two seats on the Teutopolis Park Board, receiving 172 votes and 140 votes, respectively.

In a library district contest, Amy Denton, Tony Koeberlein and Connie Kamnick were the three candidates for three seats on the St. Elmo Library Board, receiving 144, 141, and 110 votes, respectively.

In a highly-contested race for a seat as a Shumway Fire District trustee, incumbent Mike Schabbing held off challenger Eric Petty, 355 to 327.
