Injuries in Car/Cycle Collision Over Weekend

Two people were injured when a car and motorcycle collided over the weekend.
The crash happened at 1pm Saturday. Effingham County Sheriff's Department reports 16-year-old Kevin Goeckner of Dieterich slowed his motorcycle to turn left and the cycle was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by 72-year-old Anna Stewart of Newton.
Both Goeckner and Stewart were injured and were taken to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham for treatment.
The crash happened on Ilinois 33 at 2200th Street. Both Stewart and Goeckner was ticketed after the crash.
