St. Peter Man Injured in Crash West of Mason

A St. Peter man was injured in a crash west of Mason Wednesday.

State police say the crash occurred at 4:29pm on the Altamont blacktop, roughly six miles west of Mason. A vehicle driven by 32-year-old Daniel Fortman of St. Peter was southbound when his car ran off the road, came back across the roadway and ran off the left side and then came back across and ran off the right side of the road, overturning twice.

Fortman was injured and was taken for treatment to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Troopers cited Fortman for no valid driver's license, improper lane usage and failure to reduce speed to avoid the crash.
