A Herrick man has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run incident in Shelbyville early Sunday morning.

24-year-old Nathan Thompson is charged with a Class 4 felony count of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident. If found guilty, Thompson could face up to one to three years in prison.

Shelby County State's Attorney Gina Vonderheide said the incident occurred shortly after 1am in an alley behind Legends Bar and Grill. Vonderheide said it's alleged that Thompson's vehicle struck a pedestrian, Leslie Miller of Shelbyville, and then left the scene. Miller was injured and was taken to Carle Hospital in Champaign for treatment.

During a Monday court appearance, Thompson's bond was set at $10,000. He is next due in court on April 1.
