The Cross at the Crossroads will host a Good Friday prayer service beginning at 7:15pm on Friday, April 3 in the Chapel of the Cross Welcome Center.

The brief ecumenical service will be led by Pastor Roger Marshall, Cross Foundation board member and pastor of First Baptist Church in Effingham. Following the prayer service, at approximately 7:30pm, the Cross will glow "red" to signify the death of Jesus Christ. All faiths are invited to participate.

On Easter Sunday, the Cross Foundation and the Effingham Ministerial Association will host an outside sunrise service at 6am under the Cross.

Pastor Clint Smallwood of the Nazarene Church will lead the ecumenical prayer service, while Steve Jennings and Josh Bledsoe of First Baptist Church will lead the music. In case of inclement weather, the service will be moved inside the Chapel of the Welcome Center.
