Cumberland school board members are considering the sale of bonds to finance improvements.

The district is looking at selling up to $1.6 million in bonds to finance pavement and roof repairs or replacement. The only comments received during a hearing on the sale of the bonds was from a local investor who would like to buy and sell the bonds locally.

In other business, the Cumberland board began the process of finding an elementary school principal for next year. Elementary Principal Todd Hall has already requested to move back into a classroom teaching position. The Board also accepted the resignation of John Hatfill as head middle school boys basketball coach, and the resignation of Susie Haga effective immediately.
