Members of the Neoga Community Alliance are disappointed after campaign signs supporting the Neoga school district tax referendum are missing from yards around the city of Neoga.

Alliance members say passage of the referendum is necessary to provide revenue to keep the stand-alone school district in operation.

Officer Fuller of the Neoga Police Department said the department has received complaints from residents both Thursday night and Friday morning that campaign signs are missing from their property. Fuller said that there are still some signs of support in place in other yards in town.

The revenue to be generated if the referendum passes would be combined with cuts already approved or being considered to keep the district afloat.
