In recognition of February being National Canned Food Month, HSHS Home Care and Hospice and Dan Hecht Chevrolet Toyota recently teamed up to “Cram the Corolla” with non-perishable food items for the Catholic Charities food pantry.  This first food drive effort by the two organizations collected 841 pounds of food for the Catholic Charities Food Pantry.

“Thanks to the generous contributions of our colleagues and community members, this first ‘Cram the Corolla for Catholic Charities’ food drive was a success,” said Kelley Esker, HSHS Home Care and Hospice Marketing Specialist. “The food we were able to collect was much appreciated by Catholic Charities and will be used to help families in our area.”

Esker extended her gratitude to Tammy Pike, Customer Service Manager with Dan Hecht Chevrolet Toyota, and their entire staff for teaming up with HSHS Home Care and Hospice in making this food drive successful.  Dan Hecht Chevrolet Toyota and HSHS Home Care and Hospice plan to make the “Cram the Corolla for Catholic Charities” an annual February event.
