Three people were injured in a crash at Fayette and Maple Tuesday afternoon.

The crash happened just after 1pm. Effingham city police say a vehicle driven by 22-year-old Clarissa Tegenkamp of Cowden turned in front of, and was struck by, a vehicle driven by 65-year-old Dale Hanslow of Mahomet

Tegenkamp sustained injuries, but refused treatment. Two passengers in Tegenkamp's vehicle, 24-year-old Brandon Adcock of Effingham and five-year-old Christian Painter of Effingham, were both injured and were transported by ambulance to HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham.

Tegenkamp was cited for failure to yield and for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
